Richard FRAYSSE, Perfumer
From a very early age Richard Fraysse, has been deep in Haute Parfumerie universe. For almost thirty years, he has been fulfilling his role as nose with passion that stems from the highest regard for tradition.
Inheriting the world of fragrance
“Perfume? I fell into it when I was little!”
And indeed, for the Fraysses, haute parfumerie really is a family affair:
 in the late 1800s in Geneva, his grandfather founded a laboratory that would become a famous perfume house, and already engraved his name on the Pantheon of Noses by creating the hugely famous English Lavender for Yardley;
 his father, the Lanvin Nose for more than fifty years, created ‘Arpège’…;
 and now it’s the son who joined the CARON creative team.

CARON’S in-house Perfumer
With Caron, I have total freedom to exercise my creativity, without being subjected to marketing or budgetary constraints. I can give pride of place to rare natural essences, like pure rose or jasmine, and so be true to the grand tradition of luxury fragrance.”

Richard Fraysse, rather “classic” in his creations, professes a preference for the softness and fullness of feminine fragrances. Thus he
created the voluptuous “Lady Caron,” amongst others.

“Despite the progress of chemicals and the pursuit of profit, perfume should remain a luxury product, something rare and precious, if it doesn’t want to lose its main purpose: make women wearing it dream.”
