Story
Ariane de Rothschild has retained a particular attachment to Africa after spending her childhood travelling through several continents. Its fragrances have always nurtured and inspired her. In 2019, as she was staying in the province of Niassa in northern Mozambique, she rediscovered the opulent fragrance of the mahogany flower. Belle de Niassa testifies to the openness and curiosity of Maison CARON. And it tells the story of this quest in a dry and arid nature. To breath in this unique scent in perfumery. And then to recreate it, and relive, intact, this emotion.
Fragrance
For the first time in perfumery, Maison CARON offers a title role to the mahogany flower. Belle de Niassa transcribes its solar and radiant scent and recreates every facet of the flower. To express the white flower facet of the mahogany flower, two jasmine absolutes, a fleshy and sensual "open flower", and a sambac with fruity accents, blossom alongside an ylang ylang absolute. To convey the green and flavourful facet of the flower, a burst of exotic and invigorating notes are invited. The crisp freshness of starfruit and juicy watermelon are blended with essence of magnolia flower. This exotic, just-ripe fruity sensation is enriched by tangy notes of blackcurrant and a green mango accord. A powerful and luminous soliflore.
Refillability
In the early 80s, CARON was the first perfume house to offer bottles that could be refilled in-store. The fountains, masterpieces of craftsmanship made from Baccarat or Daum crystal, embody this heritage.
Today, CARON offers the opportunity to continue this ritual at home. The bottles from the Collection Merveilleuse and Aimez-Moi Comme Je Suis can be refilled both in-store and at home.
An aluminum refill, available in 100 or 125ml, allows you to refill your bottle using a pouring spout. An endless gesture to enjoy your favorite fragrance while respecting the environment.
