“To create is to let matter breathe: to give it a soul, a movement, and a freedom.”Olivia de Rothschild
Conceived as capsule collections, Les Formes Libres invite us to perceive fragrance differently to feel its presence within materials, as a correspondence between emotion and form, between what fades and what remains.
Since 1904, Caron has united scent and form in a single pursuit of expression. Gesture, material and texture have always stood at the heart of its creations. True to this founding spirit, the Maison continues its sensory exploration, guided by audacity and freedom. Inspired by Olivia de Rothschild’s vision to bring Caron back to its original creative freedom, this renewed energy now opens into a new dimension: Les Formes Libres.
Translating the Maison’s sensibility and creativity into matter, these creations arise from a dialogue where the precision of savoir-faire meets the freedom of inspiration, shaped by Olivia de Rothschild’s contemporary vision. Here, the invisible nature of fragrance finds its echo in matter. Its language extends into matter, giving core to what usually dissolves into air. These objects reveal a different approach to perfume, transforming scent from an abstract essence into a palpable, sensorial form.
Conceived as capsule collections, Les Formes Libres invite us to perceive fragrance differently to feel its presence within materials, as a correspondence between emotion and form, between what fades and what remains.
This first edition is built around a collaboration with Xavier Dehaye, artist and founder of Atelier Constant. Nourished by sculpture and arts, he explores the relationship between movement and volume. In his Paris atelier, artisans and foundry experts unite their savoir-faire to materialise an idea while preserving the sensitivity of the gesture. From this encounter emerges a series of pieces connected to the world of fragrance, beauty and art de vivre. Each creation carries the imprint of the living. Nothing is fixed or restrained.
Every surface breathes, every line retains the memory of the hand. An incense holder, a bottle, a case… Each piece has a function, yet none is limited by it. The object reinvents itself in the rhythm of the person who makes it theirs. It becomes a sensory experience a fragment of emotion to be lived.
Le Radiant evokes a gentle contour taken from the center of the body, where breath finds its anchor. It retains that natural warmth, like a subtle rise of the skin.
Shaped in metal, the piece originates from the imprint of a real abdomen, preserving its delicate variations. Resting on small supports, making it seems like it lightly skims the surface. A sculpture from which a quiet respiration emanates, a vital, intimate impulse.
Le 10 Vendôme honours the landmark address in Caron’s history: the boutique opened in 1946 by Félicie Wanpouille, at the heart of Place Vendôme. More than a perfumery, these salons was a sumptuous space devoted to fragrance, beauty, and a refined French art of living. Surrounded by the greatest jewellers, this exceptional setting welcomed an international clientele, captivated by a place unlike any other, in a time when Paris regained its brilliance
