For Caron, the flower is both an olfactory material and an ornament. Here, the magnolia appears caught in motion, mid-bloom. Recreated from the scan of a real blossom, the corolla seems subtly animated. Each petal retains its living texture. Five hand-shaped petals open around a soldered stem, forming a delicate equilibrium. At its center, a pierced pistil to hold Japanese incense.
