Story

In 1952, the House of CARON had the idea of capturing the scent of a sunny day. This 1st of May, it is launching a soliflore fragrance inspired by the tender, delicate scent of lily of the valley. A perfect gift for Parisians staying in the city. This treasure inspired our in-House perfumer who has perpetuated the tradition and composed a light and joyful interpretation of Muguet du Bonheur.

Fragrance

The fragrance opens with bright, sparkling citrus notes. Bergamot, mandarin and lime essences. Then comes a larger-than-life pear. Crisp and sweet. Highlighted by a note of watermelon. The fruit's botanical facet marries with the fresh, delicate notes of lily of the valley, recreated with rose essence from a For Life-certified source. Cedar, moss and patchouli create a wood scent with a certain Parisian elegance.

Refillability

In the early 80s, CARON was the first perfume house to offer bottles that could be refilled in-store. The fountains, masterpieces of craftsmanship made from Baccarat or Daum crystal, embody this heritage.

Today, CARON offers the opportunity to continue this ritual at home. The bottles from the Collection Merveilleuse and Aimez-Moi Comme Je Suis can be refilled both in-store and at home.

An aluminum refill, available in 100 or 125ml, allows you to refill your bottle using a pouring spout. An endless gesture to enjoy your favorite fragrance while respecting the environment.

Did you know ?

Gifting a lily of the valley on the 1st of May brings good luck to its recipient. In 1561, Charles IX was the first to offer the ladies of the court a sprig of this flower, brought from Italy, as a gesture of good luck. Long confined to the aristocracy, this custom became popular in the early 1900s.
